Georgia Virtual Scholars Academy is an accredited private online school created to give VPrep families a clear path forward — the same curriculum, the same instructional model, and the same teachers your scholar was ready to meet. Here is everything you need to do, in three steps.

Fall-semester tuition is covered through a combination of scholarships and financial aid, so cost is not a barrier to starting on time.
A short application with instant verification of eligibility status. Applying does not obligate you to enroll — it simply grants scholarship funds your family may apply to GVSA online courses for the fall semester. Final approval from Odyssey, the program administrator, can take up to seven days; that timeline will not delay your scholar's start.
No withdrawal paperwork and no new enrollment packet. VPrep families receive an email with a simple, one-step process to officially enroll your student in Georgia Virtual Scholars Academy.
Scholars begin without another delay. First-day schedules and expectations are shared with families the day before, and the team works with you while any scholarship processing finishes in the background.

No cost to you this fall.
As a private school, Georgia Virtual Scholars Academy charges tuition. For VPrep families who enroll for the fall semester, tuition is covered through a combination of scholarships and financial aid — anchored by the Georgia Promise Scholarship.
Scholarship approval can take up to seven days, and that timeline will not keep your scholar from starting on September 2 — the team works with families while processing is completed.
The application checks four things:
- 01The student is zoned for one of the 506 eligible public schools — the application portal checks this for you.
- 02The student has been enrolled in a Georgia public school for two consecutive semesters, or is a rising kindergartner.
- 03The family has lived in Georgia for at least one year (with exceptions for active-duty military families).
- 04The student is not receiving the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship or another state scholarship administered through a Student Scholarship Organization.
The program prioritizes returning students, siblings of participating students, and families with household incomes below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (roughly $132,000 for a family of four).
